Illuminated Hoody on Bench. Galvanize Sheffield, a Festival of Contemporary Metal Design and Innovation runs from 14 November – 14 December featuring a host of silversmiths, metalworkers, designers and makers dedicated to metal design and innovation. The festival programme features exhibitions, factory tours, talks, workshops and events. Further information can be found at www.galvanizesheffield.com One of the exhibitions is the ‘Illuminated Hoody on Bench’ and created by Mr Robin Dobson who is based at Persistance Works, Sheffield. Robin gained inspiration for the sculpture whilst working with community and youth groups in Sheffield. The sculpture is constructed of mild steel. Robin originally trained as a silversmith but now works with communities developing unique artwork inspired by local people and places. Celtic Offroad Trail Duathlon, Margam Park, Port Talbot, South Wales. The race comprised of 2x5km offroad runs around the park and a 20km bike ride on the mountain top before returning to Margam Castle. The overall race winner was Mr James Hockin (23) of Neath, from Celtic Tri, in a total time of 1h48m46s.  First woman was Bethan Fowler (30) of Caerphilly, from Celtic Tri, in a total time of 2h06m03s.  Pictured: James Hockin on the bike ride section in the mountains and surrounding forests. 021108

Owned by Yorkshire Windpower Ltd, a 50/50 joint venture between E.ON UK Renewables and Energy Power Resouces Ltd (EPRL). The site generates enough power to supply over 3500 homes and displaces the emission of 7345 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year. There are 13 turbines in two banks.
